Hair Loss Might Be Avoided

Hair loss is something that most men are afraid of because most men believe that balding is a sign of aging and lost vitality. Actually losing one's hair does not mean a loss of youth or a sign that one is less a man than one once was. But, if given the choice most guys would want to avoid balding and keep their barber happy.

Balding can be a sign of a stressful lifestyle because stress interferes with the natural body systems and can adversely affect the immune system. It is easy to develop stress relieving habits such as deep breathing techniques. For instance, if one feels anxious, tense around the neck muscles and starts to experience short breaths, these can be signs of stress.

When the signs of stress appear it is time to take action by practicing deep breathing. Take a deep breath and hold for about ten seconds. Then exhale for about ten seconds and repeat three times. If stress symptoms have not reduced, practice deep breathing for another three sets.

Many guys think that deep breathing, because deep breathing is so easy, will not work. But, remarkably, deep breathing is an easy way to reduce stress and this might help reduce the incidence of balding. Another way to help prevent balding is changing one's diet from junk food to healthy food.

In order to keep one's hair, one does not have to have a diet that would make an Olympian champion jealous but one has to take steps to eliminate the unhealthy food choices. Cut out the fast food, the potato chips, the soft drinks, or at least limit these foods. Some experts believe that certain supplements will help improve one's physical condition, even if one simply adds a multivitamin to his breakfast routine.

Losing one's hair can be traced to stress, a poor diet, and poor physical conditioning. This is why physical activity is so important for the guy who does not want to go bald. One does not have to train like a professional athlete in order to be in good physical condition.

A brisk walk in the morning, a brisk walk after dinner, or a trip to the gym twice a week, is all one needs in order to improve one's physical conditioning. Not only does good physical conditioning help reduce the chance of balding, but physical exercise also helps reduce stress and reducing stress helps prevent balding. Exercise does not have to be boring, join a softball team, take a dance class, or go out with the kids and throw the football.

Hair loss does not have to be inevitable. Balding might be avoided by changing diet, cut out the junk food. Balding might be avoided by learning how to reduce stress, try deep breathing exercises. Balding might be avoided by improving one's physical condition, go out for a walk tonight, join a team, go out and run around with the kids.
